Main Tour ~ April 19-May 2, 2015

** This year I will be offering a secondary tour for those who do not wish to hike during the 4 days we will be on the Inca Trail.  During this time, these guests will depart from the group and have their own private guide.  The guests will be staying at the beautiful Inca Terra Hotel for 2 nights, visiting Ollantaytambo, The Temple of the Great Chakana, and visiting Mandor Waterfalls and Hot Springs.

At the start of the trail at Km 82MAIN TOUR WITH INKA TRAIL:

Day 1, Apr 19:   Arrive Cusco, transfer to hotel. Rest and adjust to altitude. Overnight in Cusco

Day 2, Apr 20:   Visits to Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay, Qenko, Puca Pukara, etc. Overnight in Cusco

Day 3, Apr 21:   Visit Chinchero and Moray. Overnight in Cusco

Day 4, Apr 22:   Visit Tipon, Huambutio and Pisac. Overnight in Ollantaytambo

Day 5, Apr 23:   Visit Ollantaytambo. Afternoon free. Overnight in Ollantaytambo

Day 6, Apr 24:   Begin Inka Trail. Overnight camping

Day 7, Apr 25:   Inka Trail. Overnight camping

Day 8, Apr 26:   Inka Trail. Overnight camping

photo-011Day 9, Apr 27:   Arrive at Machu Picchu. Optional Hot Springs. Overnight Aguas Calientes

Day 10, Apr 28:  Visit Machu Picchu (whole group). Afternoon train back to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco

Day 11, Apr 29:  Bus to Lake Titicaca visiting Raqchi enroute. Overnight in Chucuito (Puno)

Day 12, Apr 30:  Full day Uros Floating Islands and Taquile. Overnight in Chuchuito (Puno)

Day 13, May 1:  Morning visit to Aramu Muru’s Doorway. Afternoon visit Sillustani. Overnight in Chuchuito (Puno)

Day 14, May 2:  Transfer to the airport in Juliaca. Flight to Lima to connect with international flight home

Note:  Those taking the Amazon extension will fly Juliaca/Cusco

NET Price Per Person in U.S. Dollars:  $3850.00, Single Supplement $860

Price Includes:
Free place as listed above, accommodation in 3* star hotels, daily breakfast, full board during the Inka Trail and at Lake Titicaca, one transfer in/out day of arrival and departure for whole group altogether, private transportation by bus for excursions, porters to carry 25 pounds per person, cook, tents, first aid, 1 entrance to Machu Picchu and bus up/down, entrance fees to archaeological sites visited on itinerary, train back to Cusco, Puma as the guide in the Cusco region, other specialized guides for the rest of the trip, Jorge Luis Delgado at Lake Titicaca, private boat to Uros Islands, ceremonies and tips.

What is not mentioned in the itinerary, individual arrival/departure transfers, domestic flights, departure airport taxes, sleeping bags, travel insurance, personal items,  etc.

Day 6, Apr 24:   Visit Quillarumiyoc. Overnight Ollantaytambo

Day 7, Apr 25:   Visit Pachas, The Temple of the Great Chakana (Andean Cross). Overnight Ollantaytambo

Day 8, Apr 26:   Train to Aguas Calientes, time to relax. Overnight in Aguas Calientes

Day 9, Apr 27:   Morning walk to Mandor Waterfalls. Optional Hot Springs. Overnight in Aguas Calientes

Price Includes:

Accommodation in 3* star hotels, 2 nights at Inka Terra Hotel in Aguas Calientes, round trip train to Machu Picchu, other inclusions and “not includes” as per Main Tour with Inka Trail.

(This is an optional add-on to the main itinerary)

Day 1, May 2:   Transfer to Juliaca airport. Fly to Cusco. Connect to flight to Puerto Maldonado. Transfer to Eco Amazonia Lodge. Afternoon visit Monkey Island. Overnight at Eco Amazonia Lodge.

Day 2, May 3:   Morning visit Lake Apu Victor. Afternoon excursion to Gamitana River. Overnight at Eco Amazonia Lodge.

Day 3, May 4:   Transfer to Puerto Maldonado airport. Fly to Lima to connect with international flight home.

Price U.S. Dollars:  $840.00 per person in double room, Single Supplement $100.00

  • Airfare Juliaca/Cusco
  • 2 night/3 day program at a very nice Amazon lodge
  • Lunch/Dinner on Day 1, Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner on Day 2, Breakfast on Day 3

  • Transportation by boat to/from lodge
  • Full program of activities (walks, boat trips, excursions, etc.) with specialized guides

Note:  Domestic Flights are NOT INCLUDED for any of the programs above. We can arrange domestic flights if needed. I find if you book LAN Airlines, they can include all the flights – international and domestic – on the same ticket.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is due by November 15, 2013 and final payment is due by February 14, 2014.
